.. _Information-switch: Setting and checking switch status information =============================================== It is possible to configure information collection on targets detected via switches, and view the collected data. .. note:: #. Information can be collected using the SNMP Read Community. #. If SNMP Write Community is used, the switch configuration can be modified. Viewing Switch Information -------------------------------------------------- You can view the information collected for targets classified as switches by the system. The collected information includes: .. list-table:: :widths: 10 30 :header-rows: 1 * - Item - Description * - Switch ID - Displays the MAC address of the switch. * - Switch Name - Displays the name of the switch. * - IP Address - Displays the management IP assigned to the switch. * - Available/Total Ports - Displays the number of used and total ports on the switch. * - Port Security - Indicates whether port security (binding MACs to ports) is supported. * - 802.1x - Indicates whether 802.1x is supported and enabled. * - Update Time - Shows the time when the switch information was last updated. * - Uptime - Displays the operational uptime of the switch. * - Serial Number - Displays the switch’s serial number. * - Model Name - Displays the switch’s model. * - Description - Displays a description of the switch. High usage may indicate congestion. * - Receive - Shows accumulated inbound traffic. * - Transmit - Shows accumulated outbound traffic. * - Nodes - Displays the number of nodes managed by the system on this port. * - Trunk Port - Indicates whether the port is configured as a trunk port. * - Port Security - Indicates whether port security is enabled. * - Port Security Status - Displays the status of port security when enabled. * - 802.1x Setting - Indicates whether 802.1x is configured. * - 802.1x Status - Shows the operational status of 802.1x when enabled. * - Allowed MACs - Displays the number of MACs allowed to connect to the port. * - MACs - Shows the number of MACs currently connected to the port. * - Default VLAN - Displays the untagged VLAN ID. * - VLAN ID - Shows the VLAN ID the port belongs to. * - Admin Down - Indicates if the port has been administratively shut down. Configuring Switch Information Collection ----------------------------------------------------- You can configure SNMP settings for collecting information from switches. If you configure the Write Community value among switch settings, the following items can be modified: .. note:: #. Default VLAN ID assigned to switch port. #. VLAN ID assigned to switch port. #. Admin Down state change of the switch port. .. list-table:: :widths: 10 30 :header-rows: 1 * - Item - Description * - SNMP Information Collection - Allows enabling or disabling information collection from the switch. * - SNMP Version - Selects the SNMP version for communication. * - Read Community - Sets the community string for SNMP RO (Read Only) access. * - Write Community - Sets the community string for SNMP RW (Read/Write) access. * - Write Memory Setting - Determines whether the switch saves configuration values.
