Manually Setting Windows Update List
=====================================

To apply Windows update policies in Genian NAC, it is necessary to configure the update list to be applied to endpoints.

Manually Approving Windows Update List
------------------------------------------

After configuring the Windows update list, update items not included in the list can be manually approved and added to the update list.

#. Go to **Policy** in the top panel.
#. In the left **Policy** menu, select **Windows Update Policy**.
#. Click the existing Policy **ID**.
#. Click the **Updates** tab.
#. In the **Auto-Update** items under **Auto-Update Disabled (System)**, select the checkbox for updates to include in the update list.
#. In the **Select Tasks** menu, select **Auto-Update Enabled (Admin)**.
#. Click the **Confirm** button in the **Settings Confirmation Pop-up Window**.

Manually Disapproving Windows Update List
--------------------------------------------

After configuring the Windows update list, update items included in the list can be manually disapproved and removed from the update list.

#. Go to **Policy** in the top panel.
#. In the left **Policy** menu, select **Windows Update Policy**.
#. Click the existing Policy **ID**.
#. Click the **Updates** tab.
#. In the **Auto-Update** items under **Auto-Update Enabled (System)**, select the checkbox for updates to include in the update list.
#. In the **Select Tasks** menu, select **Auto-Update Disabled (Admin)**.
#. Click the **Confirm** button in the **Settings Confirmation Pop-up Window**.
