Hostname Change
Provides the function to change computer name. You can control the hostname of Windows PCs.
- Provides management features by changing hostnames to match departmental or corporate naming conventions.
- Go to Policy in the top menu.
- In the left Policy menu, go to Policy > Node Policy > Node Action.
- In the Node Action management window, find and click Hostname Change.
Below are Basic Settings.
- For CWP Message, add a message to display according to the policy.
- For Label, adding a label allows you to categorize the plugin with a custom label displayed in the "Description" input field.
Below are Plugin Settings.
- For Host Name, specify the hostname to change to. (Characters cannot exceed 15 in English, and only hyphens (-) are allowed.)
- Specify options for Reboot Method (Do not reboot / Notify user / Auto reboot).
- If notifying the user, specify the reboot delay time. (Seconds - Hours)
- In Execution Account, select the execution account option for changing the hostname. (Agent default execution account or separate execution account setting)
- Execution Cycle performs the action at the set interval. (Seconds - Months)
- Click the Modify button.
- In the left Policy menu, go to Node Policy.
- Click the Node Policy you wish to apply.
- Find Node Action Settings and click Assign.
- In the Available items, find Hostname Change and drag it to the Selected items.
- Click the Add button.
- Click the Modify button.
Note
The name cannot contain all special and blank characters except the minus sign (-), and must be less than 63 bytes.
