Windows Agent installation
Agents in Genian Insights E can install agents on Windows devices via the Captive Web Portal (CWP) of the Genian NAC Policy Server.
Windows agent installation
Download and install via agent download page
- Download Agent
- https://(IP or FQDN)/agent
- Select agent: Do not rename the file to avoid name conflicts.
- Windows installation Users version: GnUpdate_ (IP or FQDN) .exe
Note
The installer cannot be run if the user does not have permission to install the file, so when installing the file, you must run it as Users.
Verify Windows Agent installation
- Log in to the Web Console and select Analysis > Management.
- If the agent is installed and running on the node, a blue icon is displayed along with the node information.
Where to find agent logs on Windows devices
- Open File Explorer on your Windows device.
- Navigate to the folder C:\Program Files\Geni\Insights\Logs.
