Collecting Computer OS Information

Collects Linux operating system information and user information and displays it in node information.

• Collects operating system information; collected information can be utilized to classify nodes or apply policies.

Step1: Configure Node Action

1. Go to Policy in the top menu.
2. In the left menu tree, go to Policy > Node Policy > Node Action.
3. In the top Operating System dropdown menu, select Linux.
4. In the Node Action list, find and click Collecting Computer OS Information.
5. For CWP Message, add a message to display according to the policy.
6. For Label, adding a label allows you to categorize the plugin with a custom label displayed in the "Description" input field.

Step2: Apply Node Action to Node Policy

1. In the left Policy menu, go to Node Policy.
2. Click the Node Policy you wish to apply.
3. Find Node Action Settings and click Assign.
4. In the Available items, find Collecting Computer OS Information and drag it to the Selected items.
5. Click the Add button.
6. Click the Modify button.
