MSI File Setup
MSI installation files downloaded from Policy Servers of Genian NAC 5.0.37 and lower versions require Microsoft Orca to configure the Policy Server IP.
The Policy Server IP included in the installation package is the IP address of the Policy Server where the agent will register after it is installed on the endpoint.
Microsoft Orca is required to set the Policy Server IP in the MSI installation package.
Orca Download Method
Microsoft Orca is used by extracting only the Orca file from the Windows standalone SDK.
Follow the steps below to install Orca:
- Go to the download link and click Download the Windows 10 SDK at the bottom.
- Click .ISO Download in the start section (approx. 800MB).
- Extract the ISO file using an archive extraction program.
- Navigate to the Installers folder within the extracted folder and find the file containing orca (e.g., Orca-x86_en-us.msi).
- Move only the orca msi file to a different folder and run it.
- An error will occur stating that the necessary .cab file is missing. At this point, find all the displayed files and copy them to the folder where the orca msi file is located.
- Once all files have been copied, run the msi file to install orca.
