Sending Reports using Email

You can send generated reports to administrators via email using the report function.

The transmitted reports can be used for daily network status reports and status reports of Genian NAC appliances.

  1. Go to Audit > Report in the top panel.
  2. Select the Email Dispatch item on the left.
  3. In the Select Action menu, select Create.
  4. Configure the Email Dispatch Definition item and then click Create.

Note

To send reports via email, Setting up Outbound Mail Server ( SMTP ) settings are required.

Selecting Report Type

You can specify two predefined types for reports to be sent via email. Each type is as follows:

Type Description
Simple Report Provides the number of new additions for nodes, devices, wireless LANs, and logs (errors, warnings, risks) via email.
Detailed Report Provides items generated in the simple report and selected items from reports (node reports, log reports, wireless LAN reports, custom reports) via email.
