User Job Titles

You can manage job titles by adding or deleting job titles that can be used for user accounts.

User job titles can be used to define user groups based on that information, and node groups can be created with defined user groups as conditions. Based on the created node groups, you can designate targets to which policies will be applied in Genian NAC.

Creating User Job Titles

  1. Go to Management > User in the top menu.
  2. Click the left Job Titles item.
  3. Click Tasks > Create.
  4. Enter the information and click the Create button. (Required information: Job Title Code, Job Title)

Deleting User Job Titles

  1. Go to Management > User in the top menu.
  2. Click the left Job Titles item.
  3. Select the checkbox for the job title item to delete.
  4. Click Tasks > Delete.

Attention

To delete a user job title, there must be no user accounts or node groups assigned to that job title.

Importing User Job Title CSV

When creating user job titles, job titles are created based on predefined files in CSV file format from external sources.

  1. Go to Management > User in the top menu.
  2. Click the left Job Titles item.
  3. Click Alternative text to the left of Tasks to download the CSV file.
  4. Enter information into the downloaded CSV file according to the format.
  5. Click Tasks > Import.
  6. Click the Select File item to select the created CSV file.
  7. Click the Run button.

Creating Enforcement Policies with User Job Titles as Conditions

Creating User Groups with User Job Titles as Conditions

  1. Go to Policy in the top panel.
  2. In the left Group menu, select User.
  3. Click Tasks > Create.
  4. In the User Group Creation Window, set the Condition item to Job Title and enter the setting value.
  5. Click the Add button.
  6. Click the Create button.
  7. Click the Apply Change Policy button at the top left.

Creating Node Groups with User Groups as Conditions

  1. Go to Policy in the top panel.
  2. In the left Group menu, select Node.
  3. Click Tasks > Create.
  4. In the Node Group Creation Window, set Item to Authenticated User, Condition to is one of, and Setting value to the User Group created with the job title.
  5. Click the Add button.
  6. Click the Create button.
  7. Click the Apply Change Policy button at the top left.
