Viewing and Modifying User Account Settings

You can view or modify information configured for registered user accounts and change account-specific restriction settings to enable user authentication.

The settings for user accounts are as follows:

Item Description
Basic Settings Displays information such as role, purpose, and status for the user account.
Password Settings Provides password change functionality for the user account.
Authentication Restriction Settings Displays information about restricted items (IP, MAC, count, group) for user authentication.
Additional Information Settings Displays additional information entered for the user account.

1. Checking Basic Settings Information

Displays basic information for user accounts used in Genian NAC.

Management Role You can grant administrator role privileges to the user account. O

Status Displays the activation status for the account. O
User Information Modification Displays whether the information for the account can be modified. X
Account Usage Expiration Displays the account usage expiration time for the account. O

2. Password Settings

You can change the password for user accounts used for user authentication.

Note

Password changes are configured based on the User Information Modification information for the user account.

3. Authentication Restriction Settings

You can configure conditions that restrict user authentication.

Restriction Item Description
IP Authentication Limit Sets the number of IPs that can perform user authentication.
MAC Authentication Limit Sets the number of MACs that can perform user authentication.
Device Authentication Limit Sets the number of devices that can perform user authentication.
Allowed Authentication IP Sets the IP range that can perform user authentication.
Allowed Authentication MAC Specifies the MAC that can perform user authentication.

Exception Handling Settings

Sets up an exception node group where restriction settings are not applied, even if authentication restriction items are configured.

Authentication Restriction Exception Node Group Specifies the node group to be excluded from authentication restrictions.

4. Additional Information Settings

General information is displayed for accounts created in NAC using user account application or synchronization. The displayed information varies depending on the purpose of the user account. For purpose-related matters, please refer to Setting Property Values for User Purposes.

Note

Additional information changes are configured based on the User Information Modification information for the user account.
