Configuring Policy Server Connection with Token

Sensor Installation Token

Configure the following environment to ensure that only authorized sensors can connect to the Policy Server.

1. Go to Settings in the top panel.
2. In the left Preferences menu, select Node Management.
3. In the Sensor Token tab, change Use Installation Token to ON.
4. Click the Modify button.

Item	Description
Token	This is the token value used with the node-server token command on the sensor device CLI.
Token (NAT)	This is the token value used with the node-server token command if the sensor needs to operate in a NAT exception range.

Note

1. If the Use Installation Token feature is enabled, sensors using unauthenticated tokens or not using any token cannot connect to the Policy Server.
2. Token information includes Policy Server connection details.

Agent Installation Token

Configure the following environment to ensure that only authorized agents can connect to the Policy Server.

1. Go to Settings in the top panel.
2. In the left Preferences menu, select Agent.
3. In the Basic Settings tab, change Use Installation Token to ON.
4. Click the Modify button.

Item	Description
Token	This is the token value used during agent installation.
Token (NAT)	This is the token value used during installation if the agent needs to operate in a NAT exception range.

Note

1. If the Use Installation Token feature is enabled, agents using unauthenticated tokens or not using any token cannot connect to the Policy Server.
2. Token information includes Policy Server connection details.
