Manually Setting Windows Update List

To apply Windows update policies in Genian NAC, it is necessary to configure the update list to be applied to endpoints.

Manually Approving Windows Update List

After configuring the Windows update list, update items not included in the list can be manually approved and added to the update list.

  1. Go to Policy in the top panel.
  2. In the left Policy menu, select Windows Update Policy.
  3. Click the existing Update Policy ID.
  4. Click the Update Settings tab.
  5. In the Installation Approval Status items under Unapproved for Installation (Auto), select the checkbox for updates to include in the update list.
  6. In the Select Action menu, select Approve Installation (Administrator).
  7. Click the Confirm button in the Settings Confirmation Pop-up Window.

Manually Disapproving Windows Update List

After configuring the Windows update list, update items included in the list can be manually disapproved and removed from the update list.

  1. Go to Policy in the top panel.
  2. In the left Policy menu, select Windows Update Policy.
  3. Click the existing Update Policy ID.
  4. Click the Update Settings tab.
  5. In the Installation Approval Status items under Approved for Installation (Auto), select the checkbox for updates to include in the update list.
  6. In the Select Action menu, select Disapprove Installation (Administrator).
  7. Click the Confirm button in the Settings Confirmation Pop-up Window.
